[ Industry: Professional Services Consulting ] Reporting to the VP of Big Data Consulting, I was involved in creating Business Development plans to deliver Business Intelligence solutions for a variety of large industries using the latest technologies available in the marketplace. We partnered with Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, and Cloudera (Hadoop platform) to provide a complete portfolio of services to our clients. I was involved in responding to two major 7-figure deals where I architected solutions that included comprehensive software/professional services and hardware resources. My most memorable project was responding to a $28M Business Intelligence ITN from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). I was the main collaborator in the response by architecting a solution consisting of a set of Oracle products: Oracle’s Hadoop, Oracle’s ODI, Golden Gate Replication and Cloud services to help solve a huge data governance challenge at FDOT in its Florida districts. This was an arduous effort where several long hours culminated in an on-time response submitted in Tallahassee the day it was due. We came in 4th, beating IBM, Accenture and others!

Industry: Travel & Hospitality During my 11+ years at Norwegian Cruise Line, I gradually moved up to the role of a senior IT leader in the Data Warehouse & Data Integration area. In this role I helped engineer a world class BI platform powered by SAP technologies. I was directly responsible for the decision to pick SAP (HANA v1.0) as our go-to platform and partner after a thorough evaluation and contract negotiation process. I built momentum behind this initiative with our CFO and other key business stakeholders. This is what I accomplished in this role: ● Executed (twice) a reservation system upgrade used by over 3000+ users worldwide. ● Helped designed and model two enterprise data warehouses from a highly transactional reservation system, (up to 15K trans/min during peak times) ● Supported the business through a merger between Prestige Cruise Holdings and NCL. ● Supported Norwegian Cruise Line’s IPO in 2014. I was part of the IPO readiness team. ● Led revenue optimization projects in the ticketing and F&B area to uncover cost cutting opportunities through the use of big data analytics. ● Deployed SAP technologies for business intelligence. Industry: Consumer Electronics Manufacturing, Distribution & Logistics Worked on the team that designed and developed the iSeries Phones for Motorola. The main customer was Nextel (now Sprint/T-Mobile). Designed new Order manufacturing, fulfillment and supply chain management systems. I was responsible for developing applications over a Unix & Oracle technical stack (and other customized systems). These were my accomplishments: Redesigned their mobile phone customization process prior to shipment to adjust to a “direct to consumer” model. Made changes to custom distribution and logistics systems to handle “offline” radio customization and programming. (Oracle Reports, Oracle PL/SQL) Made integration changes into their Oracle ERP (EBS v11) Order-to-Cash (OTC) process to include a new supplier cash disbursement model. (pay on shipment vs pay on delivery) Managed the on-call support team for after hours support of logistics facilities (Motorola and outsourced 3PL partners)
